Resident – Community Center Lease Agreement

 

This agreement made this ________ day of ___________________ in the year _________ between the Charter Township of Raisin, County of Lenawee, State of Michigan, hereinafter called the “Township”, and __________________________ (Name)  _______________________________ (phone number), hereinafter called the “User.”

 

The Township has consented to allow the User to lease the Charter Township of Raisin Community Center, hereinafter called the “RCC”, from 9:00 am on ___________________ to 1:00 am on ____________________.

 

User hereby agrees to pay upon signing of this agreement the sum of:

 

                                    Hall rental fee in the amount of                            $ 200.00

                                    Security Deposit fee in the amount of                   $ 200.00

                                    Table Rental fee in the amount of             $     4.00 per table

                                    Chair Rental fee in the amount of             $       .50 per chair

                                    Decorate the night before the rental date              $   75.00 (Optional)                   

 

User agrees that he / she has the opportunity to inspect the tables and chairs with a representative of the Township present prior to the day of the event.

 

In the event the premises and/or equipment located on or in the premises is damaged, the user agrees to reimburse the Township for said damage. The security deposit will be forfeited and used to assist the Township with the necessary repairs.

 

User further agrees to clean the premises at the conclusion of the use of the premises and to surrender the same in as good a state and condition as they were at the commencement of the use. In the event the User fails to adequately clean the premises, the Township shall hire the cleaning and deduct the cost thereof from the deposit, with the balance being returned to the User. The Township reserves the right to obtain additional sums from the User in the event that the cleaning or repairs exceed the deposit amount.

 

User represents and agrees:

 

            1.         That the hall can not be entered to decorate before 9:00 am on the day of the rental.

            2.         The capacity of the hall is one hundred thirty (130).

            3.         All decorations, including tape on tables, walls and chairs placed there by the user must be                                                removed. Tape must be removed from the floors.

            4.         Tables and chairs must be taken down and placed along one (1) wall so that they may be                                       inspected by the Township and put away.

            5.         There will be a full charge for replacement of any missing tables or chairs.

            6.         Garbage must be removed from the premises, both inside and outside. Garbage may be placed                                           in the dumpsters located at the Township offices.

            7.         Please return the thermostat to its original setting when you leave the building.

            8.         The Charter Township of Raisin is NOT responsible for items misplaced or left behind.

            9.         Cancellation’s must be done one (1) Month in advance of the Rental/Lease date.

Further Conditions

 

Please read and initial the following statements:

 

_______            I understand that my deposit will be forfeited if Law Enforcement officers have to be called due                                             to disturbances within the building or on the premises.

 

_______            User agrees that the function will cease by 1:00 am and that the premises will be cleaned and                                             vacated no later than 2:00 am.

 

_______            User agrees that the deposit will not be returned until the premises have been inspected by the                                            Township for damage and other conditions of this agreement.

 

Key pick up policy

 

The key for the rented facility must be picked up the day before the rental unless said rental is on Sunday at which time the key must be picked up not later than Friday at 5:00 pm.

Key return policy

 

The key for the rented hall must be returned the next business day that the Township Office is open. You may drop the key in a sealed envelope with your name and rental date written on the outside.

Refund of deposit

 

Refund of your deposit will occur only after the following:

 

            1.         The rented facility has been inspected by the Township

            2.         The inspector has signed off that conditions of the hall, bathrooms, kitchen, tables and chairs                      are in a condition equal to the condition prior to the rental.
